Every shipment needs a Certificate of Conformity through the SABER platform, and food and medical goods are additionally controlled by the SFDA.
SABER is not optional
Goods entering Saudi Arabia require a Product Certificate of Conformity and then a Shipment Certificate of Conformity, both issued through the SABER platform. Shipments without one are held at the port.
Food, drugs and devices
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority controls these categories separately. GMP and ISO 13485 are the usual evidence for manufacturers, and food exporters are generally asked for HACCP or FSSC 22000.

Will an Indian certificate be accepted here?
Yes, where it is issued by a body accredited under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement. Signatories accept each other's accredited certificates, so a certificate issued in India is recognised in Saudi Arabia without re-auditing. We make sure the body you use is in scope before you commit.
